I am downloading NIS 2007 to my computer from Symantec's upgrade and renewal center ... I would rather have had a cd of it but I am getting the upgrade at my renewal price which is a pretty good deal...anyway my questions are:
1. Am I right in that I have to remove 2003 BEFORE
downloading 2007?
2. If I go to the control panel and select add/remove
programs and delete it there, will it get rid of ALL traces of
it?
3. Is there anything else I need to know or do to correctly do
this the right way?
I'm a newbie to all of this, so be specific ... Thanks!! :-)

They should tell you before you begin the installation process if you should remove the 2003 version first - if not, don't go ahead until you contact them. If you delete it in the Add/Remove programs window, it should get rid of everything. Once you download, your Installation Wizard should tell you what to do step by step.

Most people recommend Trend Micro Anti-Virus rather than Norton which fell out of favor with lots of bugs.
