How do I find the ''log'' file on my computer so I can see who's been on my computer?

Click Start | Run

Type compmgmt.msc and press enter.

To view the event logs, drill down to Computer Management | System Tools | Event Viewer

There are 3 different logs: Application, Security, System.

Logins are recorded in the Security Event Log. Look for Category: Account Logon

If you have 2000 or XP pro you can view who has logged on and te time they were logged on in the Event Viewer via Computer Management via Administrative Tools.
