Computer experts please help!!!!!!?

Ok like two months ago I uninstalled Norton 360 and I thought all was well. Ok then like 2 weeks ago my stuff that needs to update via internet servers could not. I thought nothing of it and decided that the program it self was at fault. Today I bought Hal-Life 2 and installed it the when I tried to play it it said the error Unable to load library steam.dll. So I looked online toseek a solution and on a website it said that my firewall was blocking the updating Steam does. So I turned of my firewall and reinstalled Half-Life 2 and well same error message came. So I look at the security settings and it is saying that Norton 360 reports fire wall is running. I look at and and wonder how the hell is Norton personal firewall is running when I uninstalled it? I go to the add/remove program thing and I see that Norton 360 is there so I click on it then I click on the uninstall button. And the little hour glass comes out next to my mouse and then it dissapears. SO keep trying and it still not.

Go to this website, scroll to the bottom and download the Norton Removal Tool. Run the removal tool and you should be all set, just make sure you have the firewall in windows and in your router (if you have one) shut off.

have you tried ''googling'' any key phrases from above, searching symantec's site, ''googling'' any error or other messages you got?

that is what computer experts like me do 20 times a day :)
